National Public School Kudlu commemorated Republic Day celebrations in a unique way which was a grand success. They organised a walkathon on 28th January to mark the occasion. Sri Sundaraiah Shadakshari, the chairman of Ramanashree Groups, and Shrimathi Aruna Shadakshari, the director of Ramanashree Groups, were the event’s chief guests. And special guests were Shrimathi Jeevitha N, the Founder and President of Milestone Charitable Trust and Shrimathi Nagarathna M Malagai Deputy Director KSAAD.

The Walkathon conducted by National Public School located at HSR Layout, Kudlu was a great initiative to create awareness about the importance of physical fitness and to commemorate the Republic Day which inherits the unity of the Nation. Republic day is a day to celebrate the fact that India is a nation of diverse communities, cultures and religions, yet united as one nation. To show this unity more than 150 childrens, parents, and teachers attended the event.

The walkathon began at 9 a.m. with a few inspiring words from the Principal and Director of the school at Birla Circle, children and parents were dressed in T-shirts to show the uniformity for the event. NPS Kudlu emphasises walking as a form of physical fitness which is an important component of living a healthy lifestyle. As it also helps to improve our mental health and the overall quality of our lives. 

NPS Kudlu’s walkathon was a fun way to encourage people to participate in physical activity. Walkathon ended at National Public School Kudlu.The covered distance was around 1.6kms. 

The formal event began with the lighting of a lamp, and the gathering was addressed by the Principal of National Public School Kudlu. The children participated enthusiastically in the drawing competition and won prizes for their efforts. Chief guest of the event Sri Sundaraiah Shadakshari shared his life experiences and spoke about the importance of physical fitness and republic day. 

The walkathon event organised by NPS Kudlu to commemorate Republic Day was a huge success. The event was well-attended by children, their families, and community members. The event was planned to promote physical fitness while also commemorating Republic Day. A 1.6km walk from Birla Circle was part of the event. The walkers were enthusiastic and motivated to finish it. The event was enhanced by music and other enjoyable activities, making it a memorable experience for all. It was a great success, with everyone having a great time and appreciating the efforts of the organisers.
