Consumables play an integral role in Fallout 76, as the game requires regular meals and drink to stave off death due to starvation and dehydration. They also provide various bonuses. There are many different consumable items, but some are more notable than others in the game. So let’s take a look!

Fallout Lunchbox

Lunchboxes are one of the most versatile and useful consumable items in Fallout 76. They contain a plethora of buffs, but the most prominent being:

+25% XP
“Very Well Rested” Status
Random “Party Favor” social effect

The best part about lunchboxes is that they can be stacked up to four times, totaling a +100% XP boost.

Scorchbeast Mixed Meat Stew

A peppered and cooked stew made up of the meat and vital organs of a scorchbeast. It gives a 60 minute boost to Agility, Endurance, Intelligence, and Luck while restoring a huge amount of HP and hunger and a large amount of thirst at the cost of a moderate dose of rads.

34.72% hunger
41. 67% thirst
+1 AGI for 60 min
+2 END for 60 min
+1 INT for 60 min
+1 LCK for 60 min

This is one of the consumables that replenishes both hunger and thirst and also offers double the effect for those with the carnivore mutation.

Perfect Bubblegum

Surviving the post-apocalyptic wasteland in Fallout 76 means staving off hunger and thirst. Curiously, one of the best ways to do that is to chew Bubblegum. The benefits are as follows:

100% hunger
100% thirst

Thankfully, these little sticks of flavored delight frequently appear in the wild.

Survival Syringe

The Survival Syringe is a combination stimpak, disease cure, and infusion of hydration and nutrients. With a single injection, this chem completely replenishes the hunger and thirst bars, restores health, and cures disease.The convenience they provide is also second to none. The benefits include:

+10% HP for 2s
+2% HP for 20s
Cures disease
Heals crippled limbs

Survival Syringes are a great lightweight option to keep on hand when weight is a concern.

Cranberry Relish

This little condiment is one of the more useful Fallout 76 items. Using a fairly simple recipe, Cranberry Relish can be crafted after purchasing the recipe from Antoine at Whitespring Resort or as a random event reward. Cranberry Relish provides:

+10% XP for 60 min
2.40 HP for 25s
8 AP for 25s
+20% hunger
+2 rads

Unfortunately, this Cranberry Relish isn’t extremely easy to find and may require some time to get.
