Description

Five general-purpose silicon NPN transistors are packaged together on a single monolithic substrate to form the CA3046 chip. In order to make a differentially linked pair, two of the transistors are internally coupled to one another.This family of transistors is well suited for a wide range of applications in low-power systems operating in the DC to VHF frequency range. In conventional circuits, they can be employed as discrete transistors in place of regular transistors. However, they also give the extremely substantial intrinsic integrated circuit advantages of close electrical and thermal matching, which are particularly important in modern integrated circuits.
