Microwaves are one of the top inventions of all time. Their popularity has been on the rise since 1946 i.e. when they were invented. Nowadays, a large share of the population owns microwaves. Microwaves such as a grill microwave are kitchen appliances that heat up by exposing food to electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range. Microwaves can be of many types such as convection microwaves and microwave ovens with grills to name a few.  It has made the act of warming up food very easy and our lives more convenient. However, when it comes to the type of microwave, grill microwaves have a plethora of features to grill up food. As technology advances on so do the features of microwaves.

A microwave oven with grill is a type of microwave that works as a solo microwave as well as a grill. Such a microwave grill can be used for heating, reheating, grilling proteins and veggies, etc. The grill feature of a microwave oven allows the same taste like a traditional grill without all the smoke and labor and everything can be done from the comfort of your kitchen. A microwave oven with a grill is more progressive than a solo microwave. This is because a microwave grill was invented to deal with the “soggy food” issue.  A traditional microwave often makes food soggy due to its nature of heating. A microwave grill deals with direct heat in a way that crisps up food on the grill. A microwave oven with a grill may also differ in its build as compared to traditional solo and convection microwaves. Such a microwave often has a heating source either at the top or bottom of the microwave. This heat source helps in radiating heat and magnetron. Microwaves are also emitted by these magnetrons. Microwaves with grills might also have special features such as an additional grill plate. The additional structure may be a metal grill or rack. The metal grill helps raise the food closer to the heat source to achieve that crispness often missing in solo microwaves. A microwave oven with a grill can be used to grill fish, toast bread, melt cheese, and crisp up the top of your bakes. It can also be used to defrost, reheat, cook pasta and rice, make kebabs, etc. A microwave grill comes with specifications such as combo grill and power grill. The combo grill specification allows one to cook using the grill and microwave both whereas the power grill does the cooking using the grill only. However, the combo grill specification in the microwave grill ensures a much quicker cook time, browning, and crisping of the outside while at the same time heating the inside. Nowadays, some microwave grill ovens also come with an eco mode. This allows the microwave to save electricity by consuming less power. Traditional microwave grills can require power anywhere between 900W to 1,700W and their capacity may range from 26 liters to 32 liters. Such microwaves often have higher heat settings to allow the food to grill up nicely. Opting for a microwave oven with a grill will make sure that your grilling happens more quickly as compared to a traditional outdoor grill. It is also way easier to clean as compared to a barbecue grill outside. All these special features can often make such microwaves more expensive as compared to solo microwaves. Microwave ovens with grills are the future of the electric oven and their invention has made our lives so much better.
