In terms of the world maps, I am impressed by the work they did to RuneScape gold fill in the gaps. Although there is still much to be accomplished, the ugly edges have been removed and they appear more balanced. The next step is to get rid of some of the fences (I haven’t visited Al Kharid yet but I like the look of the map there) and, in particular, the starter zone would be fantastic and then the shrinking of Draynor Manor so it goes with the rest of Scale Theory would make the map look much more appealing.

Here’s an alternative version of the discussion. Scale Theory could be made to be applicable to all locations around the world. Draynor Manor measures the actual size of a manor. Draynor Village measures a fraction the size of an village. Clan Camp is way too large relative to Falador which is a larger city. I’m certain there are others.

Only in quests is it appropriate to increase the map’s scale to the proper size. either you have lots of useless space (forests I argued for earlier) or you don’t. Draynor Manor, and Clan Camp are massive items that aren’t able to fit into the already congested F2P zone.

Runescape has faced five major criticisms in the past. These weren’t only by the Runescape community, but also from the general gaming community. Graphics are horrible. The graphics have been improved in large part. The graphics are now pretty great for a game played in a browser. Many scammers and hackers are involved. Again, mostly fixed by Jagex’s hard work in making areas that aren’t part of the wilderness fairly idiot-proof.

Combat is dull. Combat is boring. It’s not something people like to do. The act of clicking a goblin and waiting for it to die takes about 2 minutes. EoC will make it more dynamic and fluid, but also allow for buy RS gold minimal interaction. Bots are all over the place. Somewhat fixed however not much. The game is very gritty. For an MMO.
