PART NUMBER: 2SC5200
Description
In terms of voltage and current, the 2SC5200 is a high power NPN transistor with a collector-to-emitter voltage of 230V and an emitter current of 30 Amps. The transistor is available in a TO-264 package and is frequently used in amplifier circuits, among other applications.
Base: Controls the biasing of the transistor and is used to turn the transistor on or off.
Collector: Current enters the system through the collector, which is generally connected to the load.
Emitter: Exiting through the emitter, which is generally linked to ground, current drains from the system.

Application
When should the 2SC5200 Transistor be used?
The Toshiba 2SC5200 is a high-power NPN transistor with a wide operating voltage range. The high current gain and collector current of this device make it a popular choice for use in high-power audio circuits or active filter amplifiers. Nevertheless, Toshiba has discontinued the 2SA5200 transistor and has replaced it with the TTA5200; however, the good old 2SA5200 can still be available on the market because it is still being cloned by other manufacturers in China.
