The Cameron Highlands is a highland area in Malaysia, a few hours away from Kuala Lumpur. It is a cool and refreshing change of climate compared to the rest of tropical Malaysia. Cameron Highlands is a largish area containing several small towns. The two main towns in the Cameron Highlands are Brinchang and Tanah Rata. Tanah Rata is the administrative Headquarters of the Highland area and is probably the only place you can stay or move around without access to a vehicle. There are some great walking trails around here, many of which are suitable for even beginners to attempt.
